Toll Fees

To maintain the quality characteristics of any modern motorway unaltered, continuous investments are required. Payment of toll fees is one of the most effective methods of financing both the construction and the maintenance and continuous improvement of the infrastructure and provided services.

According to the institutional framework for the operation of Kentriki Odos, the toll fee price for each station is determined as follows:

• At frontal stations and per direction, based on the entire length of the zone it belongs to.
  
• At lateral exit stations, depending on the distance travelled from the beginning of the zone the station belongs to the station, while at lateral entry stations it depends on the distance the user will travel from the toll station to the end of the zone.

In no case is it possible for users paying toll fees at a frontal station to pay again at a lateral station in the same zone, on the same trip. Correspondingly, in no case is it possible for users paying toll fees at a lateral station to pay again at a frontal or lateral station in the same zone, on the same trip.

For the section of the A.Th.E. motorway, two toll fee payment zones have been set out.

• Zone one (Skarfia I/C to Roditsa I/C, total length 27.5 km): Agia Triada frontal station & Molos lateral stations (Exit station in the Athens-Lamia direction / Entry station in the Lamia-Athens direction) and Thermopyles (Entry station in the Athens-Lamia direction / Entry station in the Lamia-Athens direction).
• Zone two: (Roditsa I/C to the end of the motorway in Raches, total length 29.5 km). : Frontal station at Mavromantila & lateral stations at Agia Marina and Stylida/ Karavomylos (Entry station in the Athens-Thessaloniki direction / Exit station in the Thessaloniki-Athens direction).

For the E65 motorway section, the following zones are set out during this phase of the construction of its remaining South and North sections:

Zone one (Xyniada – Karditsa I/C, total length 48.5 km): Frontal station of Sofades & lateral stations of Anavra (Exit station in the Lamia-Egnatia direction / Entry station in the Egnatia-Lamia direction)

Zone two: (Karditsa I/C – Trikala I/C 30.5 km) : Frontal station of Trikala & lateral stations of Proastio (Exit station in the Lamia-Egnatia direction / Entry station in the Egnatia-Lamia direction).

	Physical payment in cash or by credit/debit card at the toll collector
	Electronic payment via the Fast Pass Kentriki Odos transponder.
	At the Automated Coin Machines that accept cash and/or credit/debit cards
